Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

Booking an appointment couldn’t be easier. Simply contact us directly on 0208 185 0815. Alternatively, you can contact our team directly using the details on our ‘Contact Us’ page.

How long before I get surgery?

Each individual case is unique and while surgery is an option for most, not everyone requires surgery. Non-operative management, in some cases, can be just as effective. The aim of our consultation is to work out the best course of management for you as an individual. If surgery is indicated we will endeavour to work towards a date that best fits your schedule.

Will I be covered by my insurance?

Mr Sivanadarajah is fee-assured and recognised by most well-known insurance companies including Axa, Aviva, BUPA, Cigna, Vitality and WPA. Occasionally providers may limit where you can be seen. In this rare occurrence, the option of self-paying is also available.

What happens after surgery?

Most surgery can be performed as a day case procedure, meaning you can go home that very day. In rare cases you may need to stay in hospital for a night or two. Each patient gets a bespoke post-operative plan, depending on the type of procedure they have undergone. Questions relating specifically to your procedure, or any follow-up arrangements, will be discussed during your consultation.

When will I be seen?

We endeavour to arrange an appointment convenient to you, taking into account availability. During your initial appointment we will thoroughly assess your case and explore management options that fit around your needs to ensure the best outcome.

What happens if I have a problem?

Problems after surgery are incredibly rare but can happen. If there are any issues then you can contact our team for advice using the details provided on the ‘Contact Us’ page between normal working hours. If a serious issue were to occur outside of these hours then it would be advisable to attend your local Accident & Emergency or Urgent Care Centre for review.
